Milwaukee, WI — Marcus Theatres® is rolling out the emerald carpet for its 7th Annual Hollywood Movie Night on Monday, November 17, at the Majestic Cinema of Brookfield, featuring an exclusive early access screening of Wicked: For Good, nearly a week before its nationwide release.
This annual event brings together movie lovers, donors, and community partners for a night of Hollywood magic to benefit Children’s Wisconsin, the state’s only independent health system fully dedicated to kids and teens. Since its inception, Hollywood Movie Night has raised more than $600,000 to support life-changing programs, from critical research and hospital care to community initiatives that keep kids active, safe, and, healthy.
“This night has become one of our favorite traditions,” said Mark Gramz, President of Marcus Theatres. “It’s not just about seeing a blockbuster before everyone else; it’s about coming together as a community to do something for good. Every ticket, every donation, every smile that night helps Children’s Wisconsin continue its incredible work for families across our state.”
This year’s goal is to raise over $100,000 through ticket sales, donations, sponsorships, and other fundraising activities. Guests will enjoy an evening in emerald and pink filled with Oz-themed photo ops, a silent auction, themed food and beverages, and a dazzling pre-show reception before heading into the auditorium for a first look at one of the year’s most anticipated films. Moviegoers are encouraged to wear their Green or Pink team colors or dress up as their favorite Wicked-inspired characters.
“For seven years, our great partners at Marcus Theatres have brought the magic of movies to life for a cause that means so much to our community,” said Christine Baranoucky, Vice President of Engagement, Stewardship and Corporate Philanthropy for the Children’s Wisconsin Foundation. “Events like this allow us to work to ensure futures that are Brighter Than Ever for the kids and families of Wisconsin — and remind us that when we come together, we really can do good, for good.”
